This jewel container, is hand craved out of the Burl part of the Alpine tree. The jewel box is decorated with different gems stone and on it a work of copper wire. This in Bhutan is the symbol of royalty. In olden times, the one rich would own that. It’s also the symbol of their class. In olden days the container was used to store the ornaments. But one can use it as a unique home decor coz the art work on it. This is a kind of a piece in itself.
